I have nothing bad to say, because as the standalone first fan-made project (apart from Nexus Mods) I've played, it is the best experience I've ever had, Kudos! to you. I can see the passion and creativity that went into it (Yes, I watched your YouTube vid on it) and I can defiantly say that I had no issues except with performance, but it's my side to blame for that. I was playing on an HP Laptop (because that's the only PC I can afford and have at the moment).
System Specs Are:
8GB RAM
INTEL GPU (Intel Iris Plus Graphics)- 4GB VRAM
CPU- Intel Core I7 10th Gen (4-Cores)
STORAGE- Intel 512GB SSD
Even on the lowest settings it still had performance issues, as it even consumed all my GPU space & processing power, causing framerate, freezing and stutter issues.
I know I can't force you to dish out an optimization patch. That would be rude! After all I'm not paying for it, and you obviously have a busy schedule at the moment. But it was just an issue I wanted you know about.
Otherwise, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!! I hope to play more Lego Fallout as soon as possible.
Amazing work on this however some controls were missing like E to pick up items
Tab to switch camera views I wish I knew how to turn flashlight on the pipboy that's if it's possible night time is pretty dark and was running this at 1440p nearly maximum settings it looks fantastic even for a Lego game really great work hope to see more come of this like the health options in the pipboy
I wish and hope controller support could be added though.
I like how it's looking...However I sadly can't recommend this game to anyone in its current state. I run a very good pc, and I'm still getting crippling fps drops (well not exactly crippling, I can turn the camera) but everything is in so much slow motion that it's making me very motion sick while playing. To my surprise I found that the game was already set to low settings.
That's wild, as I can't go any lower. Can you please make a more performance friendly version? Even more performance friendly than what is given here? Also, can you make full controller support as well? If you can, that would be super.
How did I only find out about this today I love fallout (Even though the color scheme is as boring as the color gray) and Legos hope things go well for you and you don't run into any snags.
If you made it this far then I'll assume you're at the game's official page. Beneath the "Install Instructions" there should be an orange/yellow box that says "Download" and right next to it reads "LegoFallout_V1.0.0.rar" or something like that. Click the orange download box and it should download no problem.
Next open file explorer at the bottom of your task bar "has a picture of a folder with a blue clip. On the far left with a bunch vertical tabs click "> This PC". After that there should be a bunch of folder options reading "3d objects, desktop, documents" etc. Click on the "Downloads" folder which will look like a folder with a big blue down arrow on it. There should be your game installer file once it's done downloading. If you see a generic white "Unconfirmed 505896.crdownload" file or something like that then it means the game installer isn't done downloading onto your computer.
Note: in order to "unzip" a ".rar" file you will need winrar or 7zip, those are both safe and commonly used file zipper/unzipper programs. Just download them from their official sites. Go to their official sites, download then once downloaded double click. Then just follow the steps it prompts you and click yes or ok to everything. If unsure just watch an online tutorial on youtube.
Now back to that game file, right click it and you should see a 7zip option in the little box of options from when you right clicked. Under 7zip, hover over "extract here" or "extract files... ". After a minute or so it should spit out a folder titled "LegoFallout_V1.0.0" click into it and another folder inside should also be titled "LegoFallout_V1.0.0" and inside that is a folder called "Windows". Within it all should be some folder and files called "Engine, Lego Fallout.exe, Manifest" etc. Highlight all files + folders (i'll assume you know how to to do this if not watch a youtube video tutorial) then right click the highlighted bunch and click "copy".
Finally, go to whatever drive you use for games (it can be the same drive your operating system is installed on), right click an empty spot WITHIN the drive and select "New" then ">Folder". Name the folder to "Games" or whatever you wish to call it. Just right click the Game folder or an empty space within it and select "Paste". To play the game just double click the Lego Fallout.exe file and the game should start. This game is apparently very buggy so if you crash or get errors of any kind then that's just the way the game is. Hopefully I didn't ramble too much and kept things simple to follow.
played it for about 30 mins got to say it is soo cool needs work but awesome don't know if it's my pc or if this game needs mad graphics but i got no problem with vr or most big games i play but this is hard on my pc even on lowest graphics its hard to play when i get a better pc i will be giving this another chance because i got outside and was like wow this is dope cool game thought keep up the great work and hope to give is a full play when i get a better pc
basically every control is broken, couldnt open pip boy until i literally restarted the game and tried a second time, then from there i couldnt figure out how to dequip the piistol and with the pistol out it locks you out of doing anything in the pip boy besides shoot with the gun that you cant unequip. game chugs badly but not totally unmanageable. interesting side project but generally an unplayable mess sorry.

To get to 60 fps consistently I had to be at 800x600 low settings. control averages 74 fps max settings at 1440p
System specs
5950x
3700 xt
32 Gigs ram
Samsung 980 pro 1tb

Do only i get a bug where i cant do anything and there is just some lego man standing ?
The controls you need to click are just off the left hand side of the screen. Set your resolution to make the display 16:9 ratio.
It just works.
Very beautiful game with lots of potential! I'm excited to see where this goes!
Is it stuck on wasd or can it be changed to arrows for movement along with other keyconfigs like jump to numpad zero.?

TRY USING THE OPEN-SOURCE TOOL 7-ZIP - YOU CAN USE IT TO COMPRESS & DECOMPRESS ARCHIVES.
WinRAR
Winrar.
It will do most common archives , zip ,rar ,7z(7zip)
The only controls that work for me are movement. Any ideas how to get vats or inventory to open?
FOV adjustment please?
How to respawn when dead? I’ve been quitting the game and restarting every time I die..
Same, when I die, I respawn without the pipboy-so i cant access my menu.

This is amazing. Can't wait to see where you go with this!!
dmca from lego for using their brand

If you have a usb controller plugged into your pc, it will not register when you attempt to press "i" to bring up inventory

Not a true lego fan by any measure (have a few lego titles in backlog that might not see the light of day), but this game stopped me in my tracks.
WOW!
Well done!!! It seems to be less buggy than the actual Fallout 4. You should go work for Bethesda!!

Looks really good but its very hard to run. Can barely run on low graphics on my 1650
that’s bc the gtx 1650 is one of the absolute worst cards to ever exist
very pretty
decent, but the third person is borderline nauseating with the camera shake
Is this the full game (minus DLC ofc)?
When you pick up the fat man your inventory disables
this was fixed :)
i smell virus here, juicy
and?
Why would it be a virus
bro did you watch the video
Its not virus I chceked
